Why It Matters
Staff can only take part in what they know about, and there are three easy on-ramps waiting for them. By the end of this lesson, you'll know how to promote the three ways staff can take part (challenges, NuStart Blocks, and coaching) and how to use the resource hub to do it.
What to Know
Three doors, one goal
There are three ways staff can engage, and your job is to keep pointing people to whichever one fits them:
- Challenges. Fun, social, and time-limited. The easiest first step, and a great way to build momentum in your building.
- NuStart Blocks. Short, self-paced healthy-living lessons. The low-barrier, anytime option for someone who wants to work on one thing.
- Personal coaching. Guided, ongoing support for someone ready to go deeper. Coaching walks through its building blocks step by step.
NuStart Blocks vs coaching, in one line
NuStart Blocks are grab-and-go; coaching is the fuller, guided path. Point casual interest toward Blocks, and readiness for real, lasting change toward coaching. Last year's survey showed strong interest in coaching that did not always convert, so pointing the right people to it matters.
The News Flush flyer
A new News Flush flyer is ready each month, with a short healthy-living article plus information on coaching and, this year, NuStart Blocks. You print it from the monthly materials page and post it in your staff restrooms, where it keeps all three in front of staff with almost no effort.
Use the digital hub
The resource hub holds ready-made content, challenge materials, and NuStart Blocks. You promote and share what is already there. You do not build from scratch.
Timing matters
Promote a challenge in the week or two before it launches, while interest is easy to catch. A reminder as sign-ups open lifts participation more than anything you send afterward.
Try this · Your turnPick one of the three, a challenge, NuStart Blocks, or coaching, and promote it to your staff this month using ready-made content from the hub. One clear push is better than three vague ones.
