I talk so much about making health a lifestyle. However, life is always evolving. When it come to health we all have our goals like losing 20 pounds, running a 5K, or having extra energy to chase 4 kids. However, the goal or outcome is not the ultimate prize. The prize is the process! It's not the outcome that we need to focus on week after week, it's the actions and barriers we are overcoming right now. These barriers are what weighs us down hour after hour. If we focus on the journey of creating healthier actions, we overcome our barriers and the end goal just happens. The end goal becomes the byproduct which allows us to maintain it so much more easily. The outcome can burn us out, frustrate us if we don't see it early enough, or worst case is make us feel like failures.

Besides the downside of smelly breath, Garlic has great health benefits. It can be used in many ways, in multiple parts of our diets. For anyone who knows me, I waft with the smell of garlic whenever I am cooking! Fresh garlic has so much more flavor and health benefits than the jar garlic. Truly don't waste your time with a jar and grab a bulb. Below are just a few of the many great things about garlic and steps to utilize it (you won't regret grabbing it at the store this weekend!):
Have I told you how I love my lunch box? It has become a fashion accessory! Now you may think I am crazy but everyday I work in the office or I am running errands out of town, my lunch box is packed. One reason I save time and the second is it is much cheaper! By doing simple preparation the night before you can have a ready-to-go lunch.
My typical Wednesday is a whirl wind -- I wake up at 4:15am, leave the house at 5:15am to coach all day. I get home at 5pm and the last thing I want to do is exercise though I know this will make me feel so much better and less stressed! But it is already 5pm so if I workout I won't have time to cook a nice dinner for my husband who has been on the road all week traveling for work unless we eat late and the only thing I want to do is GO TO BED! So I pull together enough energy to prep a swift dinner, put on my tennis shoes as motivation and call a friend to meet me at the gym in 15 min.
One of my favorite breakfast's is a Greek Yogurt parfait! I have a major sweet tooth and this hits the spot filled with protein, filling fat, and energy to push me to get through the day. However, I am sure you have heard differing stories on the health levels of Greek yogurt and you are probably wondering which is true. You’re not alone! Over the past year or so more and more brands of yogurts are added to the grocery shelves. Crazy kinds, ingredients, and sugars are all increasing confusion and curiosity.
