~ Dr. Lindsay and Team

American Board of Family Medicine

Dr. Jamie Lindsay | President and Co-Founder

jamie

During her residency training, Dr. Jamie Lindsay began seeing that most of the diseases she treated were preventable. While practicing medicine after her residency, she discovered that physicians often do not have the time, training, or tools to help their patients learn and implement healthy habits in the areas of nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management. She came to see the value in having personal coaches walk alongside individuals who are hungry for a better quality of life and are ready to make incremental changes in the way they think, act, and communicate about their health and well-being.

In 2012, she founded NuStart with one simple goal – to develop standardized personal coaching programs and tools that provide real-world solutions for healthy living. Dr. Lindsay has come to realize that as human beings, we share similar challenges, frustrations, and aspirations when it comes to personal health and well-being. Her programs focus on basic principles that, once mastered, can make a significant difference in people’s health and quality of life.

After successfully implementing a healthy living program for individuals, it was a natural transition to begin working with organizations to help them learn how to renovate the workplace environment, revise policies, and reallocate resources to better support their employees’ desire to make healthy choices. In 2015, NuStart collaborated with RE Sutton and Associates, Tippecanoe School Corporation, and a group of professionals (business, healthcare, insurance, and schools) to launch INtegrate, a statewide school wellness initiative that integrates components of healthy living throughout school districts.

Dr. Jamie Lindsay is a mother of four, physician, entrepreneur, writer, lecturer, and is deeply passionate about helping people develop lifestyle strategies and learn life skills for healthy living. She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a certified diplomate in Obesity Medicine. She attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas, and trained as a resident physician at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
